Regardless of your relationship status, we encourage all of our awesome ladies, to celebrate in some delicious and soulful self-love. Each and everyone of you are totally deserving of that.
In our busy lifestyles, taking time out to focus on our own self care can be difficult, yet doing so can create powerful and positive ripples throughout our lives. It is good for us to conciously make some time to love thy self.
To help support you in this quest, we've come up with a list of useful ideas for you to try. We truly hope that implementing these ideas brings you an increase in self love.
1. Establish good sleep habits
There is huge amounts of research that supports the need for developing good sleep habits. These include setting a regular time going to bed, reduced screen time directly before bed, practicing relaxation techniques before bed and ensuring that your sleep environment (temperature, noise + light) is conducive to sleep. 2. Schedule time for you
Actively scheduling time away from everything else is an incredibly important aspect of self care. What you do in this time can vary greatly - go for a walk, do some gardening, meditate or do yoga. The important factor is that this time is focused on you in the here and now and that you remove yourself from the chaos and concerns of daily life. Even 30 minutes a few times a week can make a HUGE difference to your overall health and wellbeing.
3. Drink lemon water in the morning
Packed with health benefits and antioxidants, a glass of water with fresh lemon juice revitalises the body and mind. Health benefits of lemon water include cleansing the bowel and aiding digestion, boosting your immune system, helps maintains skins radiance and more! Drinking lemon water is one of the little self love things you can easily do regularly in order to gain long term benefits.
4. Forgive yourself
We all make mistakes and yet we are often very hard on ourselves when we do. We get caught up in the guilt of not being able to be all things to all people, we relive mistakes and failures > these behaviours are incredibly corrosive to our ability to love thy self. Try letting go of the guilt and accept yourself and your flaws, this practice can have significantly positive impacts on your ability to be happy.
5. Laugh - often and loud
We all know that when we're laughing it feels good but did you know that through the endorphines triggered by laughter, it actually promotes an overall sense of well-being? According to Let's Laugh "Laughter is clinically proven to have a powerful and positive effect on physical, emotional and social health and wellbeing." So if you're look for a fun and easy way to practice self love, get laughing!
