Example brand tagline.
Conquering cancer was a real struggle for me, however I feel it is one of my greatest achievements.
On the 16th of January 2002 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), news which came as a complete shock to my parents, family and friends. So began my endless days of hospital beds, tests, tests and more tests and lots of medication that always made me very ill. I had to be isolated from all my friends and family to prevent me from catching any serious infections.
During and after chemotherapy my family and I were fortunate enough to have the support from generous charities such as, Childhood Cancer Association.
Some of my goals in life are to give back to these incredible charities. I have already started volunteering for the Childhood Cancer Association and Camp Quality, which is really rewarding. Every time I volunteer it helps me appreciate the second chance I have been given. There are so many families out there that are dealing with the horrible experience of Cancer and they all deserve a helping hand to get through the traumatic ordeal.
I hope to pass on my approach of taking “One Day at a Time” to other Cancer sufferers and help them through the rough times as well!
Becoming a luminary for this beautiful Candid piece is an opportunity I am grateful for. I believe that the statement of taking “one day at a time” can change the way each of us appreciates life, as we often forget about the simplest things that happen in a day which help us strive on each day forward to be better the next.
