Example brand tagline.
My family and I know first-hand what it is like to weather the storm. Nine years ago, my loving husband and father to our then 11 month old son, was diagnosed with testicular cancer which had spread to the lymph nodes in his stomach.
The following months would no longer consist only of running a happy house, caring for our 11 month old baby boy and book keeping of David’s business. It would now include countless hospital visits to appointments, scans, tests, chemotherapy and much, much more.
We were advised by medical staff that after the chemo treatment the chances of having another baby were low, however at the time this seemed eclipsed by the overwhelming fear of potentially losing David. At this point in our lives the dark storm raged. We shared the mantra ‘conquer fear’ to help us get through the worst of it.
Once David had finished his treatment there were the milestone check points. 3 month scan, 6 month scan, 12 month scan and the biggest of all, the two year check point.
I did not get to attend this important check-up with David as I was in hospital myself, nursing our new baby boy. A beautiful healthy big boy was to complete our family. Some may even call it a miracle as he was conceived naturally. He was meant to be. I was so relieved to know our boys now had each other and David had received the ALL CLEAR!I have grown stronger from my experience and my hope is that by sharing my story, I can provide some comfort to others who may find themselves in a similar situation. Whilst you are in them, the storms can be incredibly challenging but please remember, they don’t last forever.
