Example brand tagline.

Winners never quit, quitters never win is a mantra that I have used for a long time. It reminds me that in order to be the best you can be, you need to pick yourself up and keep moving forward after a setback. The achievements of the best athletes and minds in the world are a result of hard work, not just a string of successes.

Competing at the 2008 and 2012 Paralympic Games and achieving a world championship ranking of #4 are the most significant milestones in my life. I worked incredibly hard to make it into those teams, and my family sacrificed an awful lot to see me get there. Having those dreams come to fruition makes it all worth it.

In order to achieve my goals I had to often make big lifestyle choices.   It took me an additional year to finish year 12 and my university degree to ensure I had enough time to dedicate to my training commitments. My dad took a year of leave without pay from his job to ensure he had enough time to support me to get the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

I definitely think success does not occur in isolation. You need a supportive team around you to guide you through those choices and moments.  My family has been a huge influence on this part of my life; they have always supported the decisions I have made and sacrificed a lot for me. My dad especially encouraged me to dream big. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for their influence.

Winners never quit, quitters never win means so much to me; I am a hard worker and make the most of every opportunity that I encounter. I don’t look back at my life and wish I had done things differently. I remind myself of the end result and that this is part of the journey I am on to get there.
